I got a used wiper motor off a 1968 bel air and tried to install it on my 1968 biscayne and the bel air motor has an extra male flat connector wire slightly above the main 3 wire connector. The ground wire runs back with the purple wire and ends at a common ground splice, near the blower motor resistor, and has a ground lead connected to the firewall right next to the big rubber grommet that brings the wires thru the firewall. Came to this site for the new model trucks but seen this and thought it might come in handy for anyone looking here for it.

As i have understood the relay and the blower wiring, slower speeds are still switched by the fan switch run through the resistors. For your application there should be a yel, ltblu, and orn wires running from the blower resistor to heater switch. You can do a temporary wire with a fuse wire off of the fuse block through a toggle switch and then out to the blower motor.
